Reminiscent of Treasure Island, this space-faring, swash-buckling tale follows the adventures of three children, who find that their missing father holds the secret to a planet filled with pirate booty. This novella ends as they agree to set off across the galaxy to retrieve the treasure.I am looking forward to reading more in this saga. Alien species have been hinted at and will hopefully come into play, as well as a team of deadly mercenaries who are attempting to steal the map and kill the children. My curiosity has been whetted!

Inheritors of Freedom (IoF) is a great read that vaguely borrows elements from classic storylines such as Treasure Island and the original Star Wars Saga. It presents the mystery of a humble family's backstory through the eyes of three siblings while maintaining the beginning spirit of a true swashbuckling, star-bound, fantasy. IoF is a good short read with much potential for further installments.
